I think that in America today we only appreciate the outside beauty first, not that there's anything wrong with that. It's just that in today's society when two people meet they connect through body language or visual signals or whatever.
I don't believe that we, the people of today, take things in in a way that we can actually perceive what beauty is, it's all visual pretty much, with the exception of dating your best friend and late night phone chats, we all connect through the "superficial" beauty.
To be honest I don't believe I would be able to comprehend a man playing a 5 trillion dollar violin or a pawn shop one, I also don't believe I know what true beauty is, but I'm soon within the 60 or so years that I live on I will realize what it actually means....
